Symphony In The Flint Hills


The Inaugural Concert of the Symphony in the Flints Hills was recently held at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Chase County, Kansas. The concert featured the Kansas City Symphony and Chorus, Paul Winter Consort and narration ending just before sunset and the full moon.

Thousands were caught recycling and a dozen were awarded tickets to next year's Symphony in the Flint Hills in Waubuansee County by the Get Caught RecyclingT KDHE Green Team. Over 660 pounds of materials were recycled from this event (520 pounds of plastic and 140 pounds of cardboard). That is a lot of plastic bottles for a warm June day on the prairie.
